When I was interested it didn't bother me either.  But I would expect any
company that wants my futurer custom to respect my wishes to be removed
from their mailing list.

Similar situation with relix.com.  I ordered a CD from them, and I wound up
on their spam list.  It took two "remove" requests and three
emails to the CEO before I finally (hopefully) got removed.  Reid Genauer's
CD (The Assembly of Dust) will be the last item I ever buy from them.


On the other hand, CDBaby.com was very reasonable about mailing lists.
