JM> that is interesting, my machine is an old i486dx33 with 16 mb of
JM> simms, v4 runs slowwer on this than v3 did
Probably because V4 requires more RAM than V3. I built up to 40mb b4
upgrading to v4 so I'm not sure what its ram requirements are. but v3
without networking was ok in 8mb and fine in 12mb, v3 connect with
network was a dog with less than 16mb all in a 486DX4/75
JM> if i can get fp5 on a cd or sometinf like that then i will try,
try getting a copy of Aust Personal Computer mag they usually have current
fixes for OS/2, W95 & NT4.
JM> does anybody know where i can get fp v5, (in australia, would be nice)
JM> and how much fiddling is involved .. my warp connect v4 is straight
JM> out of the box do i need to install any previous fixpacks ?
I can suggest two BBS's in OZ that should have it, they are IBM Sydney
(02-9899-8311) or if they don't have it yet I've got it available here
for d\l or freq. from me its called XR_M005.rar (18mb) and WKICKR.RAR
(1.3mb). From IBM its XR_M005.1 thru EDK (14 disk images) plus WKICKR.zip
You only need to get the latest released fixpak, they are cumulative so
FP5 includes FP1-4 as well as new fixes.
