Recently, my son, Robert, decided to park his bicycle in my living room.
Until that day we had no rules in our house about parking bicycles in
living rooms.  If he had been following a normally rational course of
action, we would still have no such rule.  However, it is now against
the law in our house to park bicycles in the living room.
Abuse freedom, and you lose it.
