I must agree with the two items you mention above. It is also nice if
you tell them who the persons are that you can go to when you need help.
For instance, where do you get chalk and other supplies? How do you call
parents? Personal phone calls...are they permitted on campus? How do you
place them? Who do you go to if you have a question about a student's
placement, their academic records, etc???
Most importantly, let them know that you are accessible, available, and
will help them out with any questions you possibly can.

P.S. Private to Leona: I haven't responded to your netmail yet, but I
was surprised that I seem to know who your mentee is? This teacher is
not new to your school this year, so why is he being assigned to you?
