From: "Guilbert" I happened to watch a bit of the celebration of 60 years since the end of the Second World war on UK television yesterday. It featured various people dressed up as characters from the second world war (politicians, singers etc) doing speeches or songs. One female singer sang a song that had the 'TUNE' of the python song "Sit on My Face", but of course with different words. I did not realise the song was written by Harry Parr Davies during the 1940s. I think the original was called "Sing as you go" and was sung by Gracie Fields. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: FidoNet MONTE alt.fan.monty-python (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
