I run mbse using the internet as portal for BBS, mailer and file pickup 
connectivity. This uses a similar procedure to binkd i.e., mbcico to poll 
each of the sites I get mail and files and mbfido to collect newsgroups etc.

These are run via a script with a sleep command but will be controlled by 
cron once I have a broadband connecton.
