I've used quite a few XP Pro machines, including one or two old computers,
and I've never noticed a slow mouse or keyboard. I'm pretty sensitive to
those issues. It's only when my computer is busy (doing defrag when the
disk is in a mess, or somesuch) that responses are slow. I can't imagine
wanting a faster mouse.
