I haven't got as far as AV yet (I should od really) but as far as I'm
aware, Linux isn't too open to virus attacks as we'd think of them in
Windows - it's more things like trojans that are the problems (hopefully,
someone will correct me here if I'm wrong).  This said, I may well be
talking out my arse here :oP  I did a quick search on google and quite a
few came up - I'll have a play with some over the next week if I get time
and let you know if I find a good one :o)  A firewall may be more useful.

For firewalls, you can try going to http://apps.kde.com - that's a good
place for KDE software (if that's what you're going to use) - I found quite
a lot of firewall software there.  If you're going to use Mandrake, it has
a firewall config tool built in (in the Mandrake Control Center).
