Our plate costs are fixed rate depending on vehicle (ie, pasenger car/light duty truck, 3/4 ton, 1 ton, etc). p.cars and light duty trucks are $174/2yrs (or 1yr for half that) (plus $37.50 if you need an emmisions test). You pay taxes (8%) on purchase price, or book value, whichever is higher. If the car is over 20years old, just the purchase price becuase the book doesn't cover old cars. If you buy from a dealer, you pay 7% and 8%, for a grand total of 15%. (Buy anything here its 8%pst and 7%gst). Alex. ...
