We were talking 3.x, but the new formula (4.x) is .008 x volume size.
Take a gig drive as an easy example. A 1000 Meg volume, if you will:
.008*1000 = 8
Now if we use what you call the OLD formula (and include for added name
space and use the default 4k block size)
.032*1000/4 = 8
Where with THE OLD FORMULA (we were talking 3.x mind you) without
namespace
.023*1000/4 = 5.75
And 8/5.75 = 1.3913.... Or an approx. 40% increase!
