Sorry to hear that.  With no visitors or children, and with the main PCs
connected via LAN, Wi-Fi here is no problem at all, even downloading TV
programs, certain iPad software upgrades (1 GB, really?), weekly Windows
Insider upgrades (3-4 GB), plenty of bandwidth remains for the 20 or so
other devices.  I made sure to get a good access point (NetGear R8000)
and not rely on the el-cheapo box supplied by the ISP.  Bandwidth is
split between 2 GHz and 5 GHz.
