golded doesn't send anything... exiting might trigger a semaphore to be touched
which might trigger a scan for outbound mail... it depends on your config...
IIRC, it is possible to config golded to touch the semaphore on any saving of
an echo or netmail message... in that case, the scan could happen in the
background if you are using a scheduler to trigger a scan/toss with...
