RS>>> Is it normal for origin lines to not be included in Netmail

ml>> origin lines are an echomail thing...

AI> Is that true of tear lines also?

no... tear lines are for tearing everything below them off... signatures in FTN
used to be below the tear lines back when BBSes were run on floppy drives and
space was a premium... tear lines specifically got their name for the tearing
everything below reason... seenbys and paths were generally not stored back
then... then folks started adding their signatures to their message bodies and
here we are today...

AI> Netmail that I send from here doesn't include a tear or origin
AI> line. Should netmail have a tear line?

that may depend on the software you are using... i think all of mine carry a
tear line now... in the past, before sept 2018, if my posts had a tear line, it
was naked... like my origin lines used to be...
