Hello out there:
Just had a question re: MS Word V7 that I can't get a good answer to
anywhere.
When working in page layout view, occasionally (not predictable as to
when) I get a Windows "Illegal Action Attempted.......Program will be
closed" frame.
It appears to occur when something gets pushed over a page, or at least
that's what it seems like. The same thing never occurs in Normal view.
When you check the Details option, it indicates that the program has
caused an invalid page fault at some arcane reference point. No
problem, let it close Word and then simply reload Word, and let
it recover the file, right??? No such luck. When Word is reloaded, you
it attempts to load the autosave file but is unsuccessful and you get
another message that says: "Not Enough memory for operation"!!! (I'm
running 32Meg RAM, so this shouldn't be the problem.
Result, unless I SAVE at least every 10 min, or work in normal
view (not feasible when using the drawing objects, I'm guaranteed to lose
a fair amount of work regularly (as I have...) Any ideas folks??? Thanks
KO
PS this is my first ever step outside my local BBSs door, hence
the verbosity!!! Ya Ha, I'm free!!!
