Charles, because I run around in home schooling circles, I know lots of
families that live on one income. And these are not wealthy families
either. They live on one income the same way folks lived on one income
in the fifties. They have one car; they cook meals at home; they go to
free entertainments; they have a garden; they can food. In those homes,
the work of the homemaker is seen for what it is: an economic addition
to the family.
