Hi John,
JW> I've a couple of really simple questions to ask, and I can't find the
JW> info I'm after anywhere!
JW> a) Ethernet cable compared to thin ethernet.
Ethernet Cable is a cable which is support ethernet standard,
thin ethernet cable refer to 10Base2 which is the cable similiar
to TV cable.
JW> b) The cable you plug into a RJ45 connector, why are there catagories?
It just because the different quility, Cat. 5 is the best.
JW> c) 10baseT and 10base2, (I think from memory!)
10BaseT is the cable using RJ45, 10Base2 is the cable using
BNC.
JW> d) What type of cable would most utilise a server and 5 clients running
JW> NW 4.11 with 3Com900 network cards? What cable supports 100Mb/s the
JW> best?
If you want to support 100Mbps, Twisted Pair (The one using RJ45)
is the only cable support.
