Well, it's not exactly a BW index, but the index (.idx) files that a QWK
packet needs. :)

I just checked out the configurations both places. At Doc's there isn't
a specific command to build index files, but I know that his qwk door
does do something about it. What I did see, was one thing that is
connected with it, the CONTROL.DAT file in the packet. [M]essages,
[Y]our Settings, [O]ffline mail settings, [13] Small CONTROL.DAT, should
be set to NO. That way it doesn't take shortcuts that might make
problems.

In your BW reader Configuration area, go to the Global and choose Mail
Packet Options. One of those is Build QWK Index Files. The choice is
between Always and Detect. "Always" will build any necessary index
files, whether or not they were already there. "Detect" will check to
see if index files exist, and if so, assume that they were built
correctly, whether or not they actually were. Mine is set to "Detect",
and I have never had any problems with Doc's.

Hope this helps. :)
