I can't afford a title just now. :-( But they aren't illegal
by any means. The US government is merely prohibited from
creating them.

Let's look up the word patronizing:
paˇtronˇize P Pronunciation Key (ptr-nz, ptr-)
tr.v. paˇtronˇized, paˇtronˇizˇing, paˇtronˇizˇes
1. To act as a patron to; support or sponsor.
2. To go to as a customer, especially on a regular basis.
3. To treat in a condescending manner.
The democratic party has been patronizing the masses with
bread and circuses for the past 70 years. I _WISH_
the peasantry didn't want it...

Have you ever seen the Three Colors series? White explored
the concept of whether people truly wanted equality.
Do you want equality? Very well, send all of your extra cash
to charities of your choosing until your net worth is
the mean average for your nation.
Sadly, common courtesy is often less than common with people
in the states taking individualism to an extreme.
If someone tries to criticize their behaviour, many argue
that their "freedom of expression" or ethnicity is being attacked.
Other times, many Americans (and even many Europeans for that
matter) mistake etiquette, protocol, and manners to be the
same thing.
