subject: The best way of Linux into Win2k networking again :)

Hello All!

Still probleming getting Mandrake Linux to find my Win2k file server in my
Windows Network and has tried different things.

The Win Network has it Win2k File Server as ip 192.168.1.2 there let the
clients as win XP and Win 98 use and having there own ip address as
192.168.1.3 to 6 ..
As:
Win2k FileServer name KOFOSERVER

Win2k-192.168.1.2=====|SwitchBox|==========KOFOBBS-192.168.1.3 Win98

Then is there by the SW-Box connection to Work-PC and KofoBBS2 + 4
The Netork using WorkGroup as KOFO where all PC's is in.

Then we then have Mandrake Linux as ip 192.168.1.1 there shall could go the
network and seing the KOFOSERVER and do a network connection and make it to
use of working with the KOFOServers 3 harddisks.
This by like some thing like this: home/kofoserver/h-bbs /netfiles /l-post
/filedrive/j /k /l /m for use of Fido and http and ftp file put and get.
Where Linux will could use KOFOServer to run some Fido programs on /h-bbs drive on.
Linux should could do the network by
Linux PC-ip:192.168.1.1=============|SwitchBox|=========KOFOSERVER-ip:192.168.1.2
And nothing by Internet Use here.

I like to getting then the best setup for this by the best helt and steps
to do it, and what of files to use and ehat there shall in the files.

  Take care,
           Gert Koefoed Andersen
