SM> They're everyone James... where have you been? ;D
Where have I been? Glued to EXCEL screens for the past month or so
doing program development.
SM> Well, given the level of conversation those topics have
SM> generated, I daresay they're of interest to the folks
SM> here....
I can agree that the items such as hold buttons, etc. have a deserved
place in the home office. Having music while on hold can have a soothing
or irritating effect on clients, depending on the music choice and the
state of mind of the client at the time.
SM> You have your own areas of interests.. if other folks agree
SM> and want to discuss those, great.... I don't really care
SM> to get into a "my topic is better than your topic" debate
SM> however.
There is no intention of placing one topic over another. The general
point was that the Home Office Assessment issue is one that appeared not
to be addressed. Electronic or other peripherals in the office all
have their place and most serve a very useful purpose. With today's
economy being what it is, the Home Office Operator is probably in the
best position they could be in. While "downsizing" is the deathknoll
for some employees, it is unfortunately a necessary thing for those
whose responsibility it is to keep the company afloat. Once a Home
Office Operator assesses the current position of their company, they
can go out and grab that work and do tremendously well in the process.
SM> Terrific, but when I called the number you posted in a
SM> message last week I found out that it was for another
SM> company entirely. Please be especially careful to verify
SM> phone numbers before posting them on the echo.
As you may have noticed since, I corrected that issue. Sorry
for any confusion, though the correct number is up on the
ECHO. If you missed it, the number is (800) 831-6982. Digital
Resources, Inc. As Moderator, I'm surprised you didn't see the
correction. Again, sorry for any confusion.
SM> One more suggestion.... you're welcome to sign your
SM> responses with your name, but the rest of the advertising
SM> needs to get lost.
Sue, in order not to clog up the ECHO with discussions that may
have the potential of running around the perimeter of topic, the
additional information was placed in order to allow people to make
contact by voice or by Internet. Because any assistance has been
and will be NC for those calling from the ECHO, the alleged
advertising value of listing the name of my employer doesn't
exist. However, I will do as you suggest and provide only my name.
Cordially,
James A. Peterson
