From: Gary Britt You should give Ztree a try then. Fully functional 30 day trial can be downloaded here: http://www.ztree.com/html/ztreewin.htm Ztree is very popular among network people who have to manage files and drives, etc. To do a global entire drive search for a particular file name you have to let it log the drive contents for the entire drive. That process takes about 1 minute for 40 gigabytes of files (about 184,000 files). There are no limits to drive size or number of files that I'm aware of. Once the drive is logged just hit F for filespec and specify the file name specification you want. Then hit S for "show all" and a list of all files (anywhere on the drive) with that specification will be instantly shown. You can then sort that list by date, size, name, extension (with sub-sorting by path if you choose). If you have more than one drive logged you can do the same thing for all logged drives by using G for Global instead of S for showall. Its about $25 to license a copy. Very reasonable and free updates for life (and its continuously updated with a new beta version with fixes and new features out about 6 to 8 times per year.
