Subject: RE: [drakelist] tr4 problem
There is nothing wrong with your TR-4. The specifications are +/- 1kHz when
calibrated to the nearest 100kHz point. You're checking at 200kHz away which
should be +/- 2kHz. As for the other bands, calibration will depend on the
heterodyne oscillator crystal frequency. They usually vary from band to
band. When new, calibration was probably much closer but due to aging of
crystals and PTO components, it gets worse with age. It's one of those
things you have to accept when running old equipment.

Subject: [drakelist] tr4 problem
hello, my name is Rodolfo.
My old tr4 have a little problem. Reception and transmition are ok, but the
cal function is not fine. For example i calibrate the cristal at 14.100 and
works fine, but i move the vfo to 14.300 and the zero beat of the cristal is
al 14.302 or more. If i turn back to 14.100 it's ok. If i switch to other
band, everything is wrong.
Can somebody help me?
Thank's
