I asked exactly the same thing when I started using the old
msged/sq.  It's a bloody pain isn't it?  I reckon it should
default to private for netmail, unless you've explicitly
overridden it (if that is indeed possible).  The solution is
to not use squish.cfg to get that, vis...

squish  mp   "Netmail"    e:\max\msg\netmail
