I do both.  Personally, I prefer physical media as I do like to read the
liner notes and if I do rip the CD, I rip it at a very high rate (using VBR
and a high bitrate limit).  However, if there's some song that I can't find
anywhere else, I'll go looking for it online.  I generally ask my friends
first before getting things from a stranger. :)
