Yep, as well as other databases.  An SQL based one is probably a good plan
as it is in wide use in the real world.

I agree 100%.  The other OS's have a head start as far a BBSing is
concerned and it seems to me that few are interested in developing anything
too different over there.  I think a pure Unixie BBS package is long
overdue.
