You didn't say how you had things partitioned, or how long you waited
for the 625 error to clear (it can clear itself while in the process of
synchronization).
7 or 8 replicas of the same partition is a little much. I presume there
is no WAN present; if there is, have you partitioned in such a way as
to insure the partition does not span the WAN?
