It explains it, but involves Q again. Trades one bad idea for one worse.
I would rather call it the fifth neo-classical period filtered through
Hollywood.
Mind you that in spite of a back stabbing society and civl wars every time
you dropped a hat. Rome lasted for nearly a thousand years in one form or
another. The society as a whole had a some kind of internal stability.
The leaders could hack, stab, and poison each other whilly nilly but
society marched on.
What brought Rome down was outside forces (And lead plumbing). Rome got
too big for it's technology. It out stripped it's own ability to
communicate and deal with crises. Without competition Rome might have
lasted longer.
I'll give Magna Roma it's 2000 years. It's the only player in it's puddle.
What I don't want is a stagnant 2000 years or the intervention of YAGLB.
I can even pin point when the preservers did the grab.
Pompeii. Who is going to miss people that supposedly died in a
volcanic eruption?
I'm not trying to piss in your sand box here. I am trying to get some
depth and color to a rather tattered set of "used furniture"
