Tim,
K> DS> Real Sysops read the docs...or at least skim them...a nice way of
K> DS> saying RTFM. :P
K>Exactly.. thats why it kinda ticked me off a bit when another sysop suggested
K>you READ THE DOCS when it came to Falcons Honor, maybe it was just a mixupm b
K>from what I got from the question is you were wondering why all the other
K>Patel/Dalton games were InterBBS and Falcons Honor was'nt.. guess it's just o
K>of those things,
I just had to wonder why Patel decided not to put IBBS with it...as it
looks similar to the others.
K>If ANYONE in dovenet is going to read DOCS, I KNOW 1005 it will be you. maybe
K>the whole thread was just a cluster fork misunderstanding.
I've been able to figure out some things without docs...like
programming a new watch for myself or my Mom. But, then it's so long
before I have to do that again (such as with the time change in spring
and fall), that I forget how to do it.
The technology is trying to cram too many features into an item...and
that's the case also with ham radio. When I got into the hobby over 26
years ago, it was so easy to program the radio, set up PL tones, etc.,
and you could understand the docs!! Now, unless you have the programming
cable and software, you'll NEVER get that thing set up!!
K> DS> Yet, I've done a few "boners" with the setup...when shown my error, I
K> DS> felt so stupid!! :P
K>It happens to the best of us Daryl, Especially when setting up 100+ doors ove
K>multi-platforms.
When I ran GT Power under dial-up under DOS 5.0 with DESQview, I joked
that "my BBS house doesn't have Windows, but it does have doors".
