subject: creating a window for shelled progr

hi y'all,

im writing a dos description cleaner (to take taglines off FILE_ID.DIZ etc)
for bbs's and need to run batch files to extract the description file. i
wanted to restrict the output of the batch file (pkunzip, arj, etc) to a
window on the screen. does anyone know how it is done? i have seen the
upload scanner THD do it and a few other programs.

i have tried calling the window() function before running the batch files
but this will only work if cprintf() is used for output.

any help appreciated!

 ross
