I've been reading what the Pentagon and military has been saying about
Iraq.

Now I know we are at war with the Sunni in Iraq while they are our
friends in Saudi Arabia.

Now the Pentagon and some generals on the ground are saying
we are fighting the Shia in Iraq who in Iraq are supposed to be
our friends but are attacking us there.

The Shia in Iran it seems according to DICK Cheney are our enemies
in Iran.

Now if the Shia and the Sunni in Iraq are both attacking our troops in Iraq
which Muslim sect in that Muslim country are we aligned with
and who are our friends in Iraq?

I am afraid geopolitics is all way over my head.
All these countries are located alongside one another
and our friends and enemies get all confuzed in my little tiny brain.


Shia bad in Iran and now bad Iraq.
Sunni good in Saudi Arabia.
Shia bad in Iran.
Sunni bad in Iraq.

Who what where and why are we having our American servicemen and woman
maimed and killed in Iraq to save Iraq from pretty much the indiginous
population save for the Maliki _government_ which is debatably
not a government at all and seems to exist primarilly within the green zone
only.
