| subject: | Maximus Support website? |
Sean Dennis wrote in a message to Peter May: SD> > Hello Gary, hoping you are still out there somewhere. > I'm just updating the links on my Geocities website and I've > noticed that my > link to your maximus/squish (vector11) support site does not work > any more. > > Have you got a new URL to point the link to or should I remove it > entirely? SD> Gary Gilmore is no longer in Fidonet. I own his website (and have SD> it archived here somewhere ;). Once I can find a suitable site SD> with enough bandwidth, I'll put it back up. But for now, remove SD> the URL. Have done, just out of interest you should run a Google search and see how many other websites are pointing at it. It seems Google takes a long time to update it's cache, the text that comes up for my site is several versions old. The worst one of them all was when I was after data on a BC611 (world war two walkie talkie) nearly every one of several hundred pages listed was aimed at the one link and had exactly the same text, weird! Ahhh search engines, a device of the dammned!
