My next hiccup was areastat. My first error was that the compiler couldn't find
areastat.cfg.5 in the man subdirectory. That's because it was named
areastat.conf.5 .. so I renamed the file to areastat.cfg.5 because it was
easier than messing with the code.
Next, I got an error on the location of the man directory, with this line:
for m in $(MANS); do $(INSTALL) $(IMOPT) $$m.gz $(MANDIR)$(DIRSEP)man`echo \
$$m | sed s/.*\\.//`/; done
This was making the compiler try for /home/axisd/husky/man/man, so I changed
the line to:
for min $(MANS); do $(INSTALL) $(IMOPT) $$m.gz $(MANDIR)$(DIRSEP)man1`echo \
$$m | sed s/.*\\.//`/; done
This got rid of the error on the location of the directory, since it seems as
though /home/axisd/husky/man/man1 is where hpt and fidoconf put their man
pages. Then I ended up with another error that it couldn't find
man/areastat.1.gz and/or man/areastat.cfg.5.gz because they don't exist. all
that's in there is the raw files.. they are not gzipped. so I gzipped those two
files so that the un-gzipped AND gzipped files were in there.
That seems to get a successful compile, and places areastat.1 and
areastat.cfg.5 as well as the gzipped versions into /home/axisd/husky/man/man1
where they should be.
