JP> Is there any way to access global memory under windows JP> (from a c program)? JP> It seems to give a general protection fault when I try... "global memory"? Vat iz diz "global memory"? If you mean 'real mode addresses', such as the buffer on a network card, or physical screen memory or some such, then yes, there's a way of doing it, but you have to obtain a selector from the Windows' DPMI subsystem - when yoyu're running Windows, you're not in Kansas (real mode) any more. Windows itself provides a number of API functions which manipulate protected mode memory. --- MaltEd/2 1.0.b6* Origin: Decadence BBS & Unique Computing - What a team!
