I am not familiar with that particular model but I just got it's bigger
cousin ( the 24*8 ) and am incredibly happy with it. I am using it to
replace a largish eight-year-old Tascam which sounded good but this
sounds amazing! The only downside is that I spent about 40 hours/day
for that following week listening to some old masters and playing with
them... I know that the 1202 VLZ has essentially the same signal
handling circuitry so you should be more than pleased with it. I do not
know how durable it is - if you are going to be roading it you would
probably want to protect it with a case...
