| subject: | Samba - easier to set-up ver? |
Has Samba gotten any easier to set up over the past couple of years? I tried setting it up 2 or 3 years ago so that my Windows and DOS boxes could share drive space and a printer with the Linux box. However, Samba was too complicated to set up for the average home user (i.e. one that does not have a bunch of time to waste in front of a PC ). I was wondering if there had been any advances on that front. Setting up two Windows boxes to talk in SMB is so easy, I am a little suprised that Samba makes it so complicated. A wizard, or even a simple text-only setup program, would be nice. Thanks!
