"Clitoris" is a Latin word, and follows Latin rules for the
plural. It comes from Greek "kleitoris", but the form is a New
(i.e. Mediaeval) Latin one. "Analysis", OTOH, is pure Greek --
(the -lysis part is from the verb "luo", I loose, which is the
paradigm -omega verb), and therefore follows Greek rules for the plural.

Given the subject, I can't help feeling this is all a bit pedantic.
