Hi All,

I was wondering if someone might be able to point me in the right direction
of how to numerically and alphabetically sort a large file, say raning from
1k to over 4meg in size...

It doesn't have to be portable, but it would be prefered.. FWIW i'm using
Turbo C++ 3.0

I want to be able to sort a large file on first difference between lines.. ie.

Number 1
Number 2
Number 5
Number 3
Number 4

I want to be able to sort on the first difference in the lines, which in
the above example would be the numbers.. but it wouldn't always be
numbers...

Any ideas/suggestions would help...

ÿ
Happy New Year,
Kieran
