BG> So is pressing Alt-Esc 5 times to toggle to the window that BG> I need, then a few more keystrokes to invoke the function I BG> want to perform, any easier or more productive that pressing BG> say F12 in Msged to do the same thing? And it ain't all that BG> much easier running Msged windowed and changing windows with BG> the mouse either. Maybe you're just missing the point. PE> I think you should have said this in the first place. I doubt that PE> Rod will be advocating you having to type more keystrokes, so what you PE> have to do is ask the right question (ie put up the right argument). I understood that was his argument all alone, essentially he was irritated with the keystrokes required, however they were used. Maybe I didnt make it clear enough that IMO the answer is to FIX the number of keystrokes required to do a task switch in OS2, even if you are using the message reader full screen, by an addon keyboard oriented task switcher, NOT to enhance the external in the app. THATs the way to go, much better to task switch efficiently, dead easy to do, no change to the app is required, that better task switching is available for all OS2 task switching too. Pisses on the alternative in every way. Be interesting to see if Bill can actually admit that tho |-) BG> If it blows up, I can easily fix it in less time BG> than it's taking me to write this message, and BG> until such time as you offer to pay my power bill, BG> I'll continue to leave it off overnight, thanks all the same Rod. PE> How much power does your PC consume when OS/2 screensaver PE> has locked in? I already know the energy cost, about 10c/kwh. Its around the 50W class, depending on the system. $30, peanuts. --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 690/718 711/809 934 @PATH: 711/934 |
