Answering msg from Bill Grimsley to rowan crowe,
on Saturday April 01 1995 at 13:01
BG>> I have attached the docs to this message. If it needs more work,
BG>> let me know and I'll make any improvements you suggest (within
BG>> reason of course).
rc>> Hmm... the file didn't arrive here.
BG> Just as well too. It wasn't meant to. |-)
I kind of gathered that. :-)
rc>> Hate to tell you this Bill, but file attaches don't work in
rc>> echomail. Wonder why? ;-)
BG> That was my fault actually. I meant to post that message via netmail,
BG> but somehow forgot. In fact, the only reason that Paul would have
BG> received the file OK is that I poll his node directly. Mind you, the
BG> next time I want to upset a few sysops considerably, I will send a few
BG> OS/2 disk images via echomail, then sit back and watch the fireworks.
I repeat again: file attaches don't work in echomail. No tossers that I
know of will forward a file attached to an echomail message. Interesting
that your tosser seemed to send it off to your uplink though?
If file attaching via echomail was possible, you would have seen
several people abuse it by now. ... it's bad enough with
uuencodes.
