Yep. I agree this.
I myself like this hobby, and wont ask "stupid" questions. If I want to
do software or hardware for a commodore, i will do them for my own
enjoyment. I like to share the enjoyment and document it. If someone
else gets something from the documents, I enjoy and help in those if
someone asks something.
Using GOOGLE is not prohibited. It gives answers to many questions you
are just asking here. We, although we are pros in our area, are not
walking googles who do the job for you. If you tell us to piss off, we
will deepheartedly do it and make a PLONK to you - it means that we drop
you in our filters to area "wont read ever anymore".
If I make some projects for my c64 or c128, I document it for all of the
world if I feel it. I wont make profit, it is just for fun. If it helps
someone to get profit, then feel free to do it. I wont ask here if
someone needs something for them. If it is needed, time will tell it
when you publish it here.
Why I am talking about this? I hope that you understand why the
newsgroups exist. We try to help here if we have a way to do it. But
when I come to newsgroup and see a dozen posts from a nameless Harry
Potter asking for something easily found from earlier newsgroups or just
putting it to Google, I do not feel at all that it is cool to read
something. I myself, when program, do it in assembly or basic for
c64/128. I wont use C because of it makes bloat code and on 6502 it is
WAY bloater than assembly. And when you ask "would someone use
something", it pisses me off. Why do you ask, when you can publish it to
internet whenever you want and tell about the software. If someone
wants, he takes it. Take my lcd driver site as an example.
Btw, Bo's site is a good one for Geos programming. Use it and dont whine
here. If he says that do not use cc65, he has a reason for it.
I write using my REAL NAME and stand behind my words.
I know that this is not related to c64, and hope you wont plonk me for
this. I wont say more than this. If you want to email me, remove the NO
SPAM from the email address.
My two eurocents.
