Hi Bill,

I know what you mean, I have a couple well known electronics manufacturers
on my black list. Places I never recommend, and disuade people from
purchasing.

Thats the worst part. Letting great ideas waste away in some filing cabinet.
A popular tactic it seems among big names out there. Regardless of products
offered.

A definate move towards gaining the full market share. Whats somebody to do
if they can't buy anything but brand XYZ.
Chances are if I'd known this stuff, I would not have bought my BC200xlt on
matter of principle. But, the thing did what I wanted when I got it.
A friend of mine has an ICOM 7100... now theres a beuty for the desktop.

Bah.. These folks and their "offers to upgrade"...
Its like junking your car just becuase it has a flat tire. But, we can
only blame the general buying public (Which I usually refer to as the Stupid
buying public) for putting up with crap like that, and allowing things to
get to the point where its throw away rather than repair.
> at that point. How do you hack a chip?
Exactly.

Sounds like another point in Rosettas favour.
