You could say the same about philosophy in general.

Oh, like many before, there's really nothing to it.

Indeed, that bump is called a mystical experience.

Most mythology does a good job of mixing these two.  If you look into 
creation myths you can often find glimmers of growing infant awareness.  
Consider, 'In the beginning was light ... '
