Not a problem .. though I think a friend solved the problem part way for
me and I discovered the last part of the problem on my own. The part I
discovered on my own is that no matter how it's set the modem will only
communicate correctly on one node I get a mail feed from .. if I use BNU..
the second node I get mail from I need to use X00 to connect even. Oddly
now if I switch it in each mail session and reboot (since I only get mail
from one node every other day).. it works fine. Go figure.

This is all a part of how that the friend I spoke of configured my modem
software for me.

This problem was solved along with the modem settings. :}

Why ? Maximus runsd fine now and it uses EMS/XMS as well as Lower Ram.

No .. I was not useing the Dobbs format.

It does. :}

It had been something like taht and also that either X00 or BNU was
unfamiliar with something about connects with one node and the opposite
with the other node.
RT> That's the latest for model 275 internal
What does teh 275 signify ?

RT> Silly question but c:\max is in your PATH statement?
Yes .. but I have other copies of it elsewhere on the system so I map the
path to the corrcet copy so the pc does not get confused.
RT> Let us know how you get on?
The above should help you see how its working now. :}
