-=> Quoting Alinda Harrison to Jessica Edwards <=-
AH> Actually, you can... but it's a lot of work! ;) At the kindergarden
AH> level it's
AH> mostly all just "supplemental learning" anyhow, since most of the
AH> learning comes from play at that age.
AH> How much longer will you be in school? You've been in college for
AH> what? about a
AH> year now? What are you studying?
yep a year already! Got about 5 more quarters to go. Going in for
my Applied Computer Science Degree or in layman's terms: Computer
Systems Management.
AH> This heat is getting to everyone...around here it's "diaper rash"
AH> season...all
AH> the little sore spots in the most uncomfortable places...and not just
AH> on the baby!
Almost that here, we have been fortunate.
AH> Personally, I'm looking forward to autumn...cooler weather and
AH> preparing for winter...I'll be canning my prunes and pears in about a
AH> month or so :) and... did I mention the cooler weather? ;)
yeppers, cooler weather. It also means these ragamuffins of
neighbor kids will go back to school!! . They are driving ME
batty!!
> AH> ps. Which BBS are you calling from? I want to make sure I get the
> AH> updated Craft
> AH> Nite ANSI to them so you can keep up on what's going on...
> Knight-Line. Same as Roseanne Brown . Doug is a good Sysop and
> he is also my doc now :)
AH> Doug is Doug Attig? If so then you should already be seeing the craft
AH> nite ANSIs...at least I send them to him. I didn't know he was a
AH> doctor. Is he a good one? General practice or what?
yeppers, he is a gp. Westgate family practice out by TCC. Good
guy. I like him! Been 2'ce already going to call for another appt
and see about getting that mole on my face taken care of. It has
been growing a bit since my teen years and I think since Cancer runs
in my family.....ya get the pic.
AH> I'm sitting here at 0500 (before it gets too hot) with the fan on full
AH> bore thinking about Christmas crafts with the kids. I've got several
AH> good ideas that
AH> tie into other lessons. We'll see where their interests go on this.
Picked up some ideas. Get some old calendars and make some
envelopes from them. Even can do with heavy christmas wrapping
paper. I snagged a mint glue recipe off of crafting and that is
used to lick the envelopes once it dries. Good idea for the kids to
get into. Another is to have them make dough ornaments from xmas
cookie cutters :) I got some dough ornament books I been trying to
get rid of if you want to borrow them?
AH> ps Were you around here when we were posting all the goop and
AH> playdough type recipes? If not, then I'll have to send you a copy of
AH> the file I made. Can you
AH> recieve files attached to netmail there?
AH> ash
I can log on to Aurora and get them if you put them in a msg to me
with attatchment :)
