I don't know if there is an effort to post FIDO to usenet. Given the
ease of sending messages to a large number of usenet newsgroups, I don't
know if this will have the optimal signal to noise ratio...
I see a backlash happening - people still using the Internet for e-mail
and mailing lists but rejoining the other nets for general moderated
conversation. I know on my BBS, many of the people sign on for the net
but when nudged to FIDO and the others, they become active there...
I would hang in there for a while and see what happens.
