Good solid info.....thanks for the pointer

Yeppers that sure did the trick alright! :-)

It has it's own CFG which basically just defines the newsgroup name and
directory/file name.

This is what I kinda find confusing, Mike; that is, should the author have to
support squish's flags? What I am trying to say, is that really, all SOS is
doing is converting from one message format to another.......it shouldn't
have to be responsible for the flags as this is squishs (and it's support
programs) job.
I was under the impression that any arguments specified in Squish.cfg would
be supported by squishs' support programs such as sqpack.........that is, if
the arguments are present in squish.cfg then those are the default arguments
and as such should be supported. In my particular situation it would seem
that sqpack isn't either 1) supporting the flags or 2) not checking
squish.cfg for possible arguments if no *.sql file exists. Will have to take
a bit closer look at the squish docs to see if I've missed something along
the way..........

Hmmm.......good suggestion. I did take a look at NGate a while back but for
some reason or other rejected it......probably time for another look at it.
:-)
Thanks for the info, Mike.......much appreciated! :-)
