We have power interruptions that last from 10 to 60 seconds each and every
storm. One day the outlet that I plug my machine into gave up. I was woke
up by the constant beep, beep, beep of the UPS. Without it, the machine
would crash and restart taking anywhere from two to ten minutes to clear the
file system. I have a 4GB hard drive here.
