had been talking to his son about the cost of gas. He said, "I remember
when gas cost 35 cents a gallon. The son asked him, "How much did you
earn an hour then, Dad?" Turns out 35 cents was a higher percentage of
the older man's hourly wage than the current gas price is of the younger
man's, or of the older man's also, for that matter.
