My wife would like to acquire some of the very early books by James Michner.  
She's asked me to inquire about: "Good/Very Good condition, hard cover, 
signed, first edition copies".  I don't think she realizes how expensive they 
might be, but I agreed to post for her.
None of the bookstores we have tried locally (Memphis TN) have what she 
wants... and the ones that do want 1/2 the house in exchange!  Well, ok... 
only the cars... but that still seems a little high.
