Saturday morning, I went to adaptec web site and what-da-ya-know? New drivers
for 2940 sitting as pretty as can be. :) Snagged them, installed them, and
applied all the 311ptg patches again. This has been running since Saturday
about 11:00am and no problems. Only noticeable change was server now takes 15
minutes to boot instead of 6 minutes. Came home today and everything was 
till
running. :) :) :) Also ran PURGE /ALL from SYS dir. I don't know what that 
s,
but it certainly did a number on the drive. What is purpose of purge? "Help
Purge" confused me more than it helped me.
